The Solatube cost can vary on several factors. Are you going to be installing the tube yourself or are you having a Solatube contractor tackle the installation? Some homeowners are remodeling their home and will have a sub-contractor install the Solatubes for them while performing other work on the home. How much extension tube do you need to connect the bottom diffuser to the top?

Prices can vary from state to state depending on if the roof is made of shingle, metal, tile, or composite. Also, is your roof walkable or does additional temporary supports need to be installed to even access where the opening for the Solatube would be located on the roof?

Solatube has 0-90 degree elbows, but most installations will not require the use of the elbow. In the Solatube kit, the top and bottom piece that is installed in the ceiling and in the flashing on the roof can rotate by 15 degrees each. This will allow enough of angle to complete most installations.

Some Solatube distributors will offer a discount if multiple kits are purchased at the same time. Or if you have them installed at the same time instead of the installer having to come back at a later date to complete another install. Once customers see the results of the first Solatube, most want to have another installed.
